The new Windows Live Writer plug-ins site is horrible; it’s an insult to any kind of forward thinking, and one of the stupidest things is that they removed the ability to SEARCH the plug-ins gallery.
At least in the old gallery you could search for keywords; you can’t with the new one.
You can now- with Google.
If you go to BING; Microsoft’s search engine and punch in ‘Windows Live Writer plug-ins’, the latest plug-ins page isn’t even in the top results of the first page- what a failure.
But if you go to Google…
It’s number 7 on the list [right now].
But as everyone should know there are tricks to Google’s search engine and you can tweak it to search ONLY the site YOU want to see.
So, next time you're searching for a plug-in in the NEW plug-in gallery and can’t seem to find it… do this…
Before you you do your search, enter this first…
site:http://plugins.live.com/writer/detail |
Or just click this…
Windows Live Writer gallery search
At the end of the line, just enter the keyword you’re looking for…
Like SYNTAX
I believe it works a heck of a lot better than what Microsoft currently offers… which is nothing.
I hope this helps…
Thank you,
Larry Henry Jr.
