Windows Live Writer and Blogger Error

imageTrouble in paradise… That's what it is… Blogger users have been coming to the support forums in pours, reporting a problem with not being able to use Windows Live Writer with Blogger. This issue seems to be completely new.

The Error:

The HTTP response was missing the required Location header.

It just sounds ominous; right?

I'm in the same boat, my uplink to BLOGGER is broken too. We have to start looking to WHY Windows Live Writer can't post to BLOGGER; and from my experience— it's not anything that Windows Live Writer did; it's going to be blogger.

Here's the full text of the error:

The server reported an error with the following web address:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/LehsysSidenote

405 HTTP method POST is not supported by this URL

HTTP method POST is not supported by this URL

HTTP method POST is not supported by this URL

Error 405

Personally, I have tried to recreate my Blogger account with Windows Live Writer and it doesn't work. It actually hangs on trying to detect and create a new account in Windows Live Writer. And nothing has changed in Windows Live Writer for a very long time…

The change is in Blogger somewhere…

Here's a support forum for BLOGGER that's screaming for help:

Blogger is saying it's not their fault, but Windows Live Writer and that it needs to be reported to the Windows Live Writer support forums.

But I'm not expecting a fairly large response from Microsoft on this one. Their stuff has been fine until a change from Blogger.

Fortunately, the error seems to have corrected itself this morning; thus, I'm posting from Windows Live Writer 2011 again…

I may never know the solution now! Darn.

Thank you,
Larry Henry Jr.
